This award is designed to recognize an IPA member for his/her outstanding service to the community reflecting positively on the Principalship.

Criteria:
  • Membership in the Illinois Principals Association
  • Not a paid employee of the IPA at the time of nomination
  • Demonstrates positive impact on education and advocacy for children
  • An active, online principal or assistant principal at the time of regional and state selection
  • Based upon volunteer service to the community
  • Service must be an actual activity such as board membership, program director or volunteer worker
  • Service should not be directly school related

Award:
A plaque will be presented at the annual Principals Professional Conference and a $750 cash award.

Nomination Process:
Nomination/application forms are attached or can be obtained from the IPA State Headquarters in Springfield.

Entry Deadline:
April 30, 2009 – Completed nomination/application forms due to your Region Director.
