This award is designed to recognize an IPA member based on his/her development and support of an innovative educational program in their school.

Criteria:
  • Membership in the Illinois Principals Association
  • Not a paid employee of the IPA at the time of nomination
  • An active, online principal or assistant principal at the time of regional and state selection
  • Demonstrates positive impact on education and advocacy for children
  • Leadership role in the development/implementation of an innovative program
  • Program must be something new, unique and different
  • Program must relate directly to curriculum and instruction
  • Program must impact student learning/school improvement
  • Program must be able to be replicated at other schools.

Award:
A plaque will be presented at the annual Principals Professional Conference and a $750 cash award.

Nomination Process:
Nomination/application forms are attached or can be obtained from the IPA State Headquarters in Springfield.

Entry Deadline:
April 30, 2009 – Completed nomination/application forms due to your Region Director.
