Interactive Illinois Report Card

Using data to make decisions sounds like a good idea but can be very challenging. The Interactive Illinois Report Card (IIRC) simplifies analysis of test results for all principals and teachers, even those with limited skills in statistics. IIRC staff members have worked with the IPA and local educators since 2001 to create a website and school improvement tools that are easy to use and that make data easy to understand.

The IIRC provides a full array of School Report Card data from 1999 to the present along with standards-based resources for teaching, curricular support tools, and individual student performance results.

Colorful graphs and explanatory text allow you to interpret significant trends over multiple years for each school and for all students and student subgroups. Drill-down features allow you to explore hidden trends in the data.

A rich library of curricular support and teaching resources includes easy access to the Illinois Learning Standards, Assessment Frameworks, classroom assessments, and Item Analysis Summaries along with links to School and District Improvement Plans. The e-Plans streamline preparation of school improvement plans by filling in all your report card data automatically.

Last year, almost 1500 schools subscribed to IIRC student data services, a low-cost subscription service that posts student-level data so that districts can evaluate the needs and progress of individual students year-by-year. This password-protected site converts the avalanche of state and standardized test data into usable graphs that you can study and customize to meet the needs of your classrooms.

The IPA collaborates with the IIRC to offer training in the use of the IIRC for school improvement, as do many Regional Offices of Education and the ISBE, which funds the IIRC.
