Illinois Principals Association Partners

In order to live out its mission of advancing learning through effective educational leadership, the Illinois Principals Association seeks to partner with individuals and organizations who share the same core value of doing what is best for children. These individuals and organizations are broken into several different categories.

Value Added
These special programs are provided by various organizations with the sole purpose of enhancing the personal and professional lives of educational leaders.

Affiliates
The Illinois Principals Association works with various educational associations and organizations throughout the state and country to develop programs and support initiatives that improve education for children.

Foundation
The Illinois Principals Foundation was established to fund research and monographs in the areas of school improvement, educational leadership and the principalship. It also allows continuing education opportunities for the best principals in Illinois to become mentors and trainers for other principals.

Foundation goals include:

  • Increase the skills and base knowledge of school administrators
  • Provide for continuing education for school administrators
  • Maintain a current professional development/resource library
  • Provide funding for research activities related to the principalship
  • Conduct research on school improvement, leadership and principalship
  • Support publication of monographs on best practices
  • Maintain and distribute articles to principals at no charge
  • Develop a cadre of speakers and writers
