"What IPA Means To Me?" The IPA has been an exceptional organization to be involved with. It has given professional information in a timely manner and provided an opportunity to network with other administrator’s throughout the state of Illinois. The IPA has created an avenue to impact decisions made through legislative actions. The IPA is truly an organization that I would not want to be without.
IPA has meant success as a principal beyond what I could have experienced without this organization. We look good to our communities, but much of that has to do with the support we receive behind the scenes from other principals, the ROE, and IPA. My affiliation with the organization began with I received my Administrative certification after I received certification as Reading Specialist. At that time I did not foresee what a great combination those two certifications would mean. With all the new literacy legislation and changes in the field, the IPA has helped me to demonstrate leadership and be aware of the administrative side of things. Thanks IPA for igniting the desire to be more and do more and to connect with ideas, events and guidance from a gifted and giving group of administrators.
The IPA has been a positive experience for me. I enjoy reading the newsletters and correspondence that I receive. In addition, I have attended the Assistant Principals Conference and was impressed with the workshops and keynote speakers that were present. I think, in brief, the IPA means an opportunity to regularly correspond and work with individuals that have similar experiences on a daily basis.
IPA means information, networking, support, education, updates, time saving and Administrator Academy credits. Thank you!
In the sometimes lonely world of school principalship, it is great to know that an organization such as the IPA is there whose main purpose is to help you be successful and to grow as an educational leader. The support is there in many ways. Whether it is a personal contact known or previously unknown to you, internet updates, publications such as Building Leadership and the IPA Newsletter or legal support, the IPA stands with you and for you.
