When retraining is dueIn every licensure cycle after the cycle in which you earned the designation
How long it lastsThrough the end of the cycle you earned it in, plus the next five-year cycle. Completing the retraining in that next cycle keeps it going one more cycle, and so on.

Can I take retraining early, in the same cycle I did my initial training? You can take the course, but it won't count toward renewal. Retraining can't be "banked" for a later cycle. It will count toward your annual AA credit (if applicable) or PD credit.

My designation lapsed. What now? Teacher evaluators are reinstated once they complete retraining on teacher practice and student growth. Principal evaluators are reinstated once they complete AA #4050. You don't need to repeat the initial training.

Does my designation last five years from the date I earned it? No. It follows your licensure cycle, not the calendar date you finished the course.
