What is my AA requirement?
All individuals with an administrative endorsement on their PEL working in an administrative role must complete an annual Administrator Academy through an ISBE-approved provider before June 30. IPA offers a wide selection of online and on-demand administrator academies. Online AAs require the completion of prework, attendance at a 3-hour virtual presentation, and completion of the required application dissemination plan. On-demand administrator academies are “work at your own pace” options that allow you to begin a course and start/stop as needed.
When does my IPA AA credit appear in my ELIS account?
We must wait until all participants in the specific academy you attended have submitted their AD plans before we can report your completion. We ask that participants submit the required AD plan within three business days following the academy. Due to the amount of administrator academies held at IPA, it can take up to 30 days before our staff can report your completion to ISBE during our busy season. Our team will send you an email once your credit has been reported to ISBE. Please check your spam or junk folder as these messages sometimes find their way into those locations.
It’s been more than 30 days and I still don’t see my credit; what can I do?
Once we report your completion to ISBE, there is one remaining step for you to complete in your ELIS account before your AA will appear and your account will be credited with the completion. You must complete the ISBE-required evaluation form inside your ELIS account. Steps for completing this final ISBE-required step are displayed below.
It’s been more than 30 days and the evaluation link is not appearing in my ELIS account; what can I do?
If it has been more than 30 days and you have followed the steps outlined on the attached document but still do not see the evaluation link in your ELIS account for the AA you completed, please reach out to our terrific team member, Pam Burdine, for assistance. Her email is email@example.com.
It’s after June 1 and I’m registered to complete my annual AA yet in June. I have less than 30 days left before June 30. What will happen to my AA credit?
As long as you complete your AA during the month of June and submit the required AD plan to IPA as required by the deadline (which will also be in June), you will receive AA credit for the current year. Even if we enter your credit in July, your requirement is met because you completed the AA before June 30.
