Recognize excellence in your profession- nominate someone today! Your region can earn extra region development money by nominating members from your region for the Awards for Excellence. Your region will receive $50 for each individual nomination for the four National awards: Assistant Principal of the Year, High School Principal of the Year, Middle School Principal of the Year, and Elementary School Principal of the Year. The deadline for these nominations is November 30th (to Region Directors) and December 31st (to state office). In the spring your region can receive another $50 for each individual nomination for the Herman Graves Award and the Reaching Out & Building Bridges Award. The spring deadline is April 30th (to Region Directors) and May 31st (to state office).
Two scholarships will be awarded each year, one for an elementary principal (K-8) and one for a secondary principal (9-12). The completed application package should be sent to the IPA office, postmarked no later than midnight May 15th. The scholarships will be for a minimum of $750 and will be awarded each year at the Illinois Principals Association Fall Conference.
Each Region will be provided a box of pre-selected items for use in your region for meetings and events. These will be given to each Region Director prior to the start of the fiscal year. If you, or your region, would like additional items you can go to the IPA online store and order directly. For any questions, email email@example.com.

Region Calendar of Events/Liquor Liability Form
IMPORTANT!!! When reserving a meeting location for your Region that serves liquor anywhere on the premise, you MUST complete and send in the Region Calendar of Events/Liquor Liability Form to IPA. Even if you are NOT serving alcohol to your group, you MUST send in this notice. If a guest of your meeting should have a drink in the lounge after the meeting and is involved in an auto accident, you could be liable. IPA carries expensive liquor liability coverage — to cover you, the Region and the Illinois Principals Association. As soon as you know your meeting dates and locations (at least one week prior to them), send in the Region Calendar of Events/Liquor Liability Form. Download Form
