Evaluator Initial Training and Retraining for Principals and Assistant Principals

NEW

August 8, 2024, 8:30 a.m. - August 9, 2024, 3:30 p.m.

This two-day academy is for educators who are seeking initial training qualification or retraining to be legally qualified to conduct evaluations of principals and assistant principals.

The academy provides instruction on implementing a continuous school leader growth model using the School Leader Evaluation Plan, which is based on the School Leader Paradigm developed by the School Leader Collaborative, a group of 14 state principal associations from across the country. The plan is aligned to the Illinois Performance Standards for School Leaders and meets the requirements of 23 Illinois Administrative Code 50 Subpart D: Performance Evaluation Plans: Principals and Assistant Principals.

To be eligible to attend, each participant must complete ISBE-required pre-work at least 72 hours before the training. Registrants will receive handouts and detailed instructions in their registration confirmation from netforum@ilprincipals.org. Participants who do not receive the registration confirmation should email workshops@ilprincipals.org.

Training participants receive a printed copy of the School Leader Evaluation Plan, the School Leader Paradigm, and the School Leader Calendar as well as a light lunch both days.

Group Discount for Multiple Participants from the Same District:

Districts who wish to send multiple participants to the same session for a team learning experience are eligible for the following discount: $425 for the first registrant and $375 for each additional participant from the same district. Each participant may select to receive Initial Principal Evaluation training credit (includes AA credit); Principal Evaluator Retraining credit (includes AA credit); or AA/PD credit (for non-evaluators). To take advantage of this group discount benefit, you must complete and submit the group registration form.
