Using Student Growth Data from Diverse Populations in Teacher Performance Evaluation

May 20, 2026, 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The one-day course focuses on understanding implicit bias, differentiating for equity, and coaching more deeply when evaluating student growth for special education, English learners, and early childhood students. Upon successful completion, the individual will have satisfied the requirement for retraining in student growth. This AA must be paired with one of the teacher professional practice AAs to fulfill the entire retraining requirements.

IPA will deliver this ONLINE training through Zoom. To participate in the virtual workshop, you must have Internet access, a web camera, a microphone and a Google account.

You will receive the Zoom training link, handouts and detailed instructions in the registration confirmation from netforum@ilprincipals.org. If you don’t see the confirmation in your inbox after registering, please check your junk or spam folder.

  • Registration closes at 12 p.m. the day before the event.
  • Registrations are not accepted over the phone.
  • Receive a refund. Credits and refunds will be issued as follows:
    • If written notice is received more than five business days prior to the event, a $25 service charge will be assessed.
    • If written notice is received within five business days of the event, a $50 service charge will be assessed.
  • ISBE requires attendance during the entire workshop to receive Administrator Academy credit. Individuals arriving late or leaving early, for any reason, are not eligible for Academy credit.
