Ben is the Lead Regional EdTech Coordinator for the Learning Technology Center of Illinois (LTC). In this role, he partners with school districts to enhance classroom learning through innovative technology solutions. He believes in the power of technology to transform education and works closely with teachers to integrate effective digital tools into their teaching practices.
Ben's expertise includes training educators on Google Workspace for Education, emphasizing creative and effective integration into the classroom. He also incorporates drones and STEM into the curriculum, supported by his FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, and advises districts on artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies. He aims to empower teachers to create dynamic learning environments that improve student outcomes.Previously, Ben was a social studies teacher in Morrison, IL, where he initiated the district's iPad program and redesigned his curriculum to include digital resources. Additionally, he served as director of technology and has been a national instructor for EdTechTeacher.
Ben has shared his insights at major conferences such as FETC, ISTE, IETC, IDEAcon, and more. He holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Technology Education Reform from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from the University of Indianapolis.
