Charles Anderson is a native Chicagoan from the west side of Chicago and has been committed to serving young people in communities that mirror the neighborhood he was raised in. After attending Bradley University, Loyola University, and a host of marketing and management positions - he began his career in education at Westinghouse Career Academy as a teacher and then school counselor. Since then, his career in education within Chicago Public Schools has extended over twenty years of service, which includes Manley Career Academy (Assistant Principal), TEAM Englewood High School (Assistant Principal), and Beidler Elementary School (Principal) and now Michele Clark (Principal).

In October 2015, Charles Anderson became the proud principal of Michele Clark Academic Prep Magnet High School, one of Chicago Public Schools' original STEM Early College High Schools. His experiences and career has allowed him to teach, counsel, coach, and lead all for the benefit of students. As a principal, Charles Anderson has prioritized his work in making sure students have opportunities to soar and believe in themselves. Fearlessly, Charles Anderson is an advocate for all children and their holistic well-being.

Through his expertise, creative transformational leadership style, innovative lens, and genuine personable approach, Charles Anderson has been able to create educational climates that are academically thriving, student-centered, community inviting, andprovide shared leadership opportunities for all staff. Additionally, his work with the 15th District Police Department has strengthened student and police relationships within the school environment providing a space for courageous conversations and transparent mentorship.
