Winnebago County Special Education Cooperative
Allison Pierson started her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist. After working in the field for 7 years, she returned to school to obtain her Masters in Educational Leadership & Administration. She began in the field of administration as a Special Education Supervisor for a Special Education Cooperative where she oversaw two school districts, Early Childhood, and Early Intervention transitions for the Cooperative districts. After being a Supervisor for 5 years, she had the opportunity to transition to a District to build the District’s special education capacity of services. She started special education programs Pre-12th+, directly hired support staff, and started a transition/vocational program. She was the Director of Student Services overseeing the special education department, Response to Intervention Program, EL Supports, and Crisis Intervention. Her current position is the Assistant Regional Superintendent for the Boone-Winnebago Regional Office of Education.
