Wondering how you will respond to the new law requiring all school districts to offer computer literacy and computer science, especially to our English Language Learners? Participants in this academy will critique the Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Computer Science Education Framework to understand the steps needed to bring equity to computer science education; evaluate current national and local trends of English Learners in Computer Science Education; synthesize the linguistic, academic, and equity impact when English Learners participate in Computer Science Education; assess examples of implementing Computer Science Education for English Learners; and create their own authentic plan to respond to this law.
