IPA provides professional development opportunities for educators to meet “evaluator retraining” license requirements. To qualify for the retraining courses, individuals must have previously qualified as an evaluator by completing the Growth Through Learning modules.
Individuals who evaluate teachers must complete two state-approved administrator academies during their renewal cycle: Professional Practice (IPA #1801) and Student Growth (IPA #3000).
Teacher and Principal Evaluators
Individuals who evaluate teachers and principals must complete three state-approved administrator academies during their renewal cycle: two for Professional Practice (IPA #1801 and #1865*) and one for Student Growth (IPA #3002).
Individuals who evaluate principals only must complete two state-approved administrator academies during their renewal cycle: one Professional Practice (#1865*) and one Student Growth AA (IPA #3001).

Individuals registering for #3000, 3001, or 3002 must complete an ISBE-required, brief pre-academy webinar and survey at least three days prior to the academy.
