Ben is the Superintendent at Park Ridge-Niles District 64 where he serves 4,800 students and over 600 staff. Previously he was the Principal at Maine South High School for six years. He began teaching high school music and moved into various leadership roles as a department chair, division head, and assistant principal for teaching and learning. He is the co-founder of the Illinois Council of Instructional Coaches and was the organization's president after it was formed. He was on the Illinois Principals Association state board and was the North Cook region director and actively served on the Illinois Music Educators Association Educator Development Division Board. He has degrees from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Aurora University, and a Doctorate in School Administration from Loyola University Chicago.
