Janice Schwarze recently retired after 34 years in education. She served as an administrator for 14 years in District 99 - the last 5 years as principal of Downers Grove North High School. Janice also taught English for 20 years at Glenbard East High School. She is passionate about social-emotional learning, equity, instructional coaching, and differentiated instruction, especially in making connections among these topics. Janice has presented at many conferences including the National Council of Teachers of English and The Conference of English Leadership and has done consulting work with several school districts. As well, she is a Professional Learning Associate for the Illinois Principals Association.
