David J. Braun is an attorney with Miller, Tracy, Braun, Funk & Miller, Ltd., an education law firm located in central Illinois. He focuses his practice in the area of school law, representing over nearly two hundred school boards throughout the state of Illinois. David has developed significant interest in the field serving clients in matters of labor management, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, employment and student discrimination, and student discipline and management. David provided the original draft of the Illinois Principals' Association's Model Student Handbook, and since 2008 has assisted in revision and preparation of the Illinois School Law Survey. David is a member of the adjunct faculty at Illinois State University where he teaches school law, and has also served on the adjunct faculty at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
