Dr. Cheryl D. Watkins is a distinguished educator, leader, and advocate whose passion for teaching began in childhood and evolved into a transformative 33-year career in one of the nation’s largest urban school districts. Beginning as a special education teacher, she rose through the ranks to serve as assistant principal, principal, network deputy chief of schools, and ultimately network chief of schools prior to her retirement.
