Alison Maley currently serves as Government and Public Relations Director for the Illinois Principals Association, a statewide professional organization representing over 6,000 Illinois school leaders. Prior to her work at the IPA, Alison served as a Development Director at Eastern Illinois University, and legislative aide to two members of the Illinois House of Representatives.

As Government and Public Relations Director, Alison lobbies the General Assembly and other entities on behalf of the Association and member principals. She communicates and works with the Illinois State Board of Education and other state and national agencies; communicates with the general membership on legislative issues; tracks and reports on state and federal legislation; and promotes the Association and the principalship.

Alison received both her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Speech Communication and her Master of Arts in Political Science (American Government/Public Administration) from Eastern Illinois University. Alison lives in Springfield with her husband and two children.
