My favorite roles are that I am a mom to three beautiful crazy children, a wife, and an educator. I love people and I love to learn! I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Spanish, a Master's Degree in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, a Certificate in Mental Health and a Certificate in Life Coaching. Most recently, I practiced as an elementary school principal and before that I was a school counselor for a decade and I had the opportunity to teach English in Mexico. I have also been an adjunct faculty member at Bradley University and am a Neurosequential Model of Education (NME) Advanced Trainer through the ChildTrauma Academy. Currently, I am the Staff & Student Wellness Coordinator in the Morton School District. My educational philosophy is that we as a system work with the whole child through a developmentally informed and biologically respectful lens to provide an environment that is healthy, safe, respectful, relational, engaged, supportive developmentally, brain friendly and challenging. We must meet everyone where they are and challenge & engage them both academically and social-emotionally! I consider myself a wellness and personal growth junkie & a brain friendly advocate :) It is my honor to walk alongside other educators as we all strive to show up as our best self to serve those that enter our school doors!
