Matt Epperley serves as the Assistant Principal at Hubble Middle School in CUSD #200. He has spent his career serving students, staff, and families. Prior to this assistant principalship, Matt served as a school counselor for six years, an administrator in Oswego SD308 for four years, and was the Health and Well-Being Coordinator for Cooperative Assocation for Special Education (CASE). During his administrative tenure, he served as the School-Community Resource Coordinator, Restorative Justice Coordinator and Assistant Director of District Student Services. Dr. Epperley is passionate about social emotional learning, multi-tiered system of support (MTSS), mental health services and support, wellness/wellbeing, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma sensitive schools, fostering resilient schools, and restorative practices. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in educational psychology with an emphasis in school counseling from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He also holds a master's degree in educational leadership from McKendree University. Lastly, he earned a doctorate in educational leadership from Aurora University.
