Dr. Jill Griffin serves as the superintendent in the Bethalto School District and community. Prior to this position, she served as the curriculum director, assistant superintendent, principal, and teacher.

Griffin began her administrative career at age 29 as a building principal of an intermediate building. Prior to that she was Nationally Board Certified in 2004 in Literacy: Language Arts for Early and Middle Childhood. She secured a specialist degree shortly thereafter in Educational Administration. Then, in 2013, she obtained a doctorate in Educational Leadership. She serves as an elected board of trustee member at Lewis and Clark Community College. She is the vice-president of the Southwest Region of Superintendents for IASA. She was the co-chair of the Student Success Workgroup for the Vision 2030 statewide committee, helping guide education policy throughout the state. Jill serves on the Professional Development Committee for IASA and as a trainer for the IPA for the new principal evaluation instrument that she helped pilot. Since the implementation of the School Leader Evaluation Tool pilot, Jill has successfully onboarded the Bethalto School District administrative team. The district has utilized the framework since its inception as the foundation for monitoring progress, guiding continuous improvement efforts, and supporting leadership development across the district.
