Dr. Jill Griffin

Dr. Jill Griffin serves as the Superintendent in the Bethalto School District and community. Prior to this position, she served as the curriculum director, assistant superintendent, principal and teacher.

Griffin began her administrative career at age 29 as a building principal of an intermediate building. Prior to that she was Nationally Board Certified in 2004 in Literacy: Language Arts for early and middle childhood. She secured a specialist degree shortly thereafter in Educational Administration. Then, in 2013, she obtained a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She serves as an elected Board of Trustee Member at Lewis and Clark Community College. She is the president of the southwest region of superintendents for IASA. She is the co-chair of the student success workgroup for the Vision 2030 statewide committee, as well as a professional development committee member for IASA. She currently serves the IPA as a trainer for the new principal evaluation instrument that she helped pilot.
