This interactive learning opportunity is designed to support rural, urban, and suburban educators as they continue to serve the total school community using restorative practices. Since the passage of Senate Bill 100, Illinois educators have embraced a restorative philosophy and the impact it has on a positive school culture. This Academy will review the legal requirements of the law while providing ways to move forward and beyond our initial efforts of compliance. Information for improving and enhancing an effective in school suspension program will be provided. Additionally, ideas for encouraging all staff to fully participate will be discussed.
